Our Client As a managed hosting and virtual network operator with Tier 1 partners, are seeking to recruit a New Business Sales Manager with responsibility for building and developing new business customers using the new division’s portfolio of services within a specified territory, vertical or product range. Key Responsibility will be to develop & source sales leads, in line with company guidelines, for the purpose of: • Achievement of revenue & margin targets on a Monthly, Quarterly and Annual basis • Delivering new customer growth through new project wins • Growth and service of existing customers (where applicable) within the boundaries of the current portfolio • Control of business forecasting through effective funnel management • Maintaining a broad understanding of the key technology areas with the ability to illustrate business advantage to customers through technology investment and other ROI models • Maintain effective liaison with, and support for all, other departments within the company regarding the customer & prospect base • Achieving appropriate targeted business mix as detailed in the commission plan • Adhering to approved sales process' to ensure a consistent approach • Ensuring company CRM database(s) are continually updated with changes and additional information as soon as this becomes apparent You will be educated To HND / Degree Level or equivalent – if this is not the case, a longer track record and experience in sales will be sought with a minimum of 3 years in an External solution sales position, selling to end-user customers with a demonstrable track record of new business sales success, along with demonstrable & sound understanding of internet and hosting technology areas, and a good demonstration of an ability to grasp a new and complex product set previously. You must be able to demonstrate the capacity to multi-level sell up to Director level within client organisations Key relationships will include Internal /External Division Director Clients and Prospects Other new business sales staff Training providers Account management team Suppliers/Distributors Presales Affinity Partners Provisioning & projects Dealer Partners Technical support Other sources of lead generation Ideally you will be within commutable distance of Primary office location which is based in the City of London. You will have a Drivers licence, and will attain appropriate level of qualification in sales-based technical training, e.g. new data back-up products, IP Centrex VoIP product, managed IT services, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and previous attendance at a recognised sales training, along with evidence of application in previous roles. Pace and energy given to lead generation process Experience of working within a vertical market (e.g. the real estate/property industry) is desirable but not essential, you will have adequately developed sales techniques: opening, listening, closing Evidence of effective networking through appropriate organisations e.g. chambers of commerce Sufficiently developed fact finding and investigative techniques Demonstrates ability in adapting own personal style to suit customer Full utilisation of the product portfolio Adequately manages time to develop technical knowledge Displays an understanding of business process and current economic climate Pro-actively seeks development of skills and responds positively to development activities Consistent over-achievement of targets set Inter-personal Competencies Managerial Competencies Excellent personal presentation Not a requirement for this role Interacts well with, and supportive of, other team members Performance measurement will be based on achieving the targets set for new business sales across the business mix as specified in the commission plan. Successfully performing in the activities of this role can contribute to developing the jobholder over a period of time through to the next level of the sales development path/job family, including senior sales positions and team management.
