Overview
A.V.Produce Ltd is a grower, packer and importer of vegetables, salads and fruit supplying produce daily to leading UK supermarkets, wholesale and catering outlets. ITRM have been providing consultancy, support and maintenance services to A.V. Produce since 2002, highlighting our commitment to developing long term business relationships.
Objective
With an ageing infrastructure and various industry specific applications that were essential to their business, ITRM were tasked with proposing a new infrastructure solution that would consolidate these critical systems, whilst providing the highest availability and ease of use as possible.
Solution
After extensive assessment of the business requirements, ITRM proposed and implemented a full Citrix based Thin Client solution, incorporating a load balanced Citrix server farm and a Microsoft Dynamics Business Solution delivered through Thin Client terminals on the desktop. This had the benefit of reducing overall capital expenditure and support costs, as well as providing the organisation with the resiliency required to ensure high availability of the systems in a 24/7 operation.
