Superior stone needed to upgrade their network infrastructure to proved a stable and reliable environment to support their business needs. As a company that run machinery 24/7 to service their clients it was critical that there was minimal disruption to the business during installation.
Network cabling, otherwise known as data or internet cabling, refers to the systems of cables that allow us to transfer data and information between places such as networks and computers.
Identifying a requirement to connect their dual-purpose warehouse fand office site, Superior Stone, contracted ITRM to supply and fit data cables.
ITRM cabling engineers installed a new comms cabinet and category 6 data cabling within the office. The data cables were run within the existing containment and terminated along side the existing infrastructure.
Working in collaboration with superior stone machinery operators so as to not disrupt production we installed category 6 data cables at high level within the work shop. The cables were then dressed into the various production machinery and WIFI positions.
The data cables were then terminated onto 24 port patch panels within the comms cabinet and on RJ45 modules at the outlet positions.
On completion all data cables were tested for compliance to industry standards and labelled with a unique identification.
A new fibre internet line and network switches were then installed into the comms cabinet.
To complete the installation with minimal disruption the computers and machinery were systematically patched onto the new structured cabling network.
Superior Stone now have a newly connected warehouse and office facility, enabling them to communicate internally and externally and more importantly, to their client base with ease. Additionally, the new cabling creates flexibility to add or remove new hardware as Superior Stone continues to grow.
