Established in 1910, Jennings and Barrett provide block management, sales and letting services to Sidcup, Bexley, and across London. Operating at the heart of the community, Jennings and Barrett take a people-centric approach from offering employment opportunities, to aiding local people in all aspects of their services.
ITRM and Jennings and Barrett’s working relationship was first formed through their requirement for cloud migration, due to outdated hardware equipment and a need to connect their multiple office premises. ITRM conducted the migration by moving Jennings and Barrett’s on-premises infrastructure to a cloud solution utilising SharePoint. The result saw Jennings and Barrett’s multiple sites become accessible through the use of an internet connection – further enhancing workforce connectivity and productivity.
Following the success of the Cloud migration project, ITRM continues to provide Jennings and Barrett with a tailored IT Support service encompassing their existing IT infrastructure and associated fileserver and workstation software. Taking a proactive approach to the management of Jennings and Barrett’s IT infrastructure, allowing the business to continue to operate efficiently and prosper. This includes the resolution of any incidents within a 4-hour SLA period.
· Telephone and Remote Access Support: ITRM employs a dedicated service desk team to provide telephone and remote access IT support. Technical service desk engineers answer support queries and calls, providing initial troubleshooting over the phone or via remote access. The skillset of ITRM’s technical engineering team sees the majority of support calls resolved remotely and carried out with little or no impact to end users.
· Preventative Maintenance: Preventative maintenance services are carried out on a periodic basis, including installing the latest security updates, removing unnecessary files, backup checks and a succession of other critical tasks for all supported equipment. Ensuring the Jennings and Barrett business remains operating to high functionality and issues are maintained to a minimum.
Throughout the duration of ITRM and Jennings and Barrett's working relationship, ITRM have provided data cabling and office relocations services. This consisted of ITRM's in-house network cabling team attending Jennings and Barrett's new office site in London and carrying out data cable terminators of all new CAT6 data cables installed into the new floor boxes, the termination of all cables onto new 24 port patch panels and undertook the thorough testing of all newly installed cables with a fluke tester. Furthermore, the team decommissioned IT equipment from the existing office located in Northumberland Heath and transported the equipment to the new London office location. The team then recommissioned the IT equipment in the new premises followed by patch testing to ensure the equipment was fully operational for end-users upon their arrival.
