Who are Children with Cancer UK?
Children with Cancer UK was established in 1988 as a non-profit organisation following the devastating loss of both O'Gorman siblings to cancer in the same year. The organisation's primary goal is to finance cancer research and provide assistance to families facing similar challenges. Over the past 35 years, Children with Cancer UK has been instrumental in raising awareness about cancer, advancing gentler treatment methods, and raising more than £300 million to support over 300 research initiatives.
ITRM Support Children with Cancer UK:
The entire country of England is buzzing with excitement as we are currently immersed in the ongoing European Championship. Following the disappointment of the last tournament, the entire nation is eagerly anticipating a more triumphant campaign for the England team this time around. During events like the Euros, England unites in support of the national team. This presents an ideal occasion for us to extend our support to the local community by collaborating with a charitable organisation, all while injecting some joy into our workplace.
In an effort to raise funds for Children with Cancer UK, we brainstormed various ways to show our support. We decided that the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and donations was during the Euros tournament. To coincide with England's first match against Denmark, we permitted our staff to wear England shirts or colours associated with the England flag and asked them to make a small donation to Children with Cancer UK in support of the cause.
It was an absolute success, our team loved supporting a good cause and of course, the ability to wear an England shirt during a game day was brilliant for all ITRM staff. We are proud to have exceeded our target of £100, we are eager to continue raising so please donate here.
