A Record Breaking Year for the Bexley Moorings Project | ITRM

On the 15th September 2017, fifteen teams gathered at the Pedham Place Golf Course to participate in the Annual Charity Golf Day for the Bexley Moorings Project. This year the sun shone down on the players and course making the event more enjoyable for those who took part.

Great support was received with a record breaking sum of £3800 raised in total, exceeding last year’s fundraising amount of £3200. The auction concluding the event raised a total of £1700, with notable purchases for a House of Commons Whisky kindly donated by MP James Brokenshire, a table for two including full hospitality in Charlton Athletics Centre Circle Lounge kindly donated by CAFC and a prosecco afternoon tea in London kindly donated by ITRM.

ITRM work closely with the Bexley Moorings Project, providing free IT support to the charity and sponsorship for their golf day each year. Following the event, ITRM extend their thanks for the support received from clients and friends who joined for the day, and invite their support for next year’s event.

ITRM have a comprehensive corporate social responsibility programme which includes supporting several local charities including Moorings, the provision of work experience opportunities and apprenticeships. We are currently working with the Bexley Moorings project to explore other opportunities to support them and their fantastic work.

The Bexley Moorings Project supports over 200 young people within the Borough of Bexley through one to one work and group activities. The young people supported are vulnerable and are referred from a variety of sources including social services and schools. The Project helps to get children engaged and builds upon their confidence to allow them to achieve things that at one time would have seemed impossible. The Moorings Project rely heavily on the commitment of their fantastic team of volunteers and fundraising events such as their annual golf day to operate.
