This year, ITRM decided to do something a little fun for Comic Relief. Our MD, Dave White, very kindly (and bravely), volunteered to have his legs waxed!

Comic Relief (or Red Nose Day as it is commonly known), was started on Christmas Day in 1985, from a refugee camp in Sudan. It was decided that a group of British comedians would come together and make the public laugh, whilst raising money for a very good cause.

The first Red Nose Day in 1988 took the nation by storm, and a staggering £15m was raised. All money raised since has helped to support people and communities in dire need in both the UK and Africa.

The waxing took place on Friday 22nd March. Our Junior PHP Analyst Programmer, Ian Edwards, and 1st Line Technical Support Analyst, Joe Stedman also bravely volunteered. Armed with wax strips, a few of the ITRM ladies inflicted pain on the willing subjects. The pain was not in vain though, as we raised a total of £50.
